BCS Made in three different class types such as Class I, Class II & Class III; in which Class II is widely used in many applications because it provides protection to both product as well personnel.

Different Types of Class II BIOSAFETY Cabinet

• Class II A1 - Minimum inflow velocity of 75 fpm, 70% of air is recirculated; 30% is ducted. The contaminated plenum is surrounded by the lab environment.

• Class II A2 - minimum inflow velocity of 100 fpm, with a negative plenum surrounding the contaminated plenum. 70% of air is recirculated; 30% is ducted.

• Class II B1 - Recirculated but Exhaust air have dedicated hard-ducted exhaust lines, with 70% air exhaust & 30% of Recirculation.

• Class II B2 - does not Recirculation but Exhaust air have dedicated hard-ducted exhaust lines, with 100% air exhaust.
